ScreenerHero is a desktop-first stock screener that covers US, Canadian, European, Australian and New Zealand exchanges in one dense table. It is built for investors who filter on fundamentals and want European small caps and microcaps included. It is not a charting platform, a broker, or a source of real-time quotes.
For a side-by-side with other tools, see the six-tool European screener comparison.
What ScreenerHero is
ScreenerHero filters listed stocks by 40+ fundamental and technical fields: valuation (P/E, P/B, EV/EBITDA), profitability (ROE, margins), growth, dividends, momentum and more. The result is a sortable table you can save as a preset, export, send to a watchlist, or open as a quote page with a chart.
The design goal is the opposite of a card-based finance app: as many rows and columns per screen as possible, and filter changes that update the table without a page reload.
What it does well
1. Coverage that includes the small end of Europe
The universe spans the major European exchanges, the alternative markets where most microcaps trade (Euronext Growth, Nasdaq First North, EGM Milan, GPW NewConnect), plus NYSE, Nasdaq, NYSE American, TSX, TSXV, ASX and NZX. If you screen across regions, you do not need a second tool for the US or Canada.
2. Speed and density
Filters are applied as you set them, and the table is built for scanning hundreds of rows. This matters more than it sounds: screening is an iterative loop of tightening and loosening a filter, and each reload breaks that loop.
3. Fundamentals you can filter on, not just read
Besides the usual ratios, there are screens for things that usually need a spreadsheet: earnings beat streaks, insider net buying over 90 days, shareholder yield and ROCE. See the earnings beat streak screener and the insider buying screener for worked examples.
4. Funds, warrants and test symbols are kept out of your results
A screener that returns a warrant or a fund in a "cheap stocks" list wastes your time. Funds and exchange-traded products without company data, warrants, bonds and exchange test symbols are hidden from lists and search by default.
5. A pricing model without a monthly fee
The paid plan is a one-time Lifetime payment, not a subscription. Several dedicated European screeners charge monthly. Current price and what the free plan includes are on the pricing page; we do not quote them here because the price changes over time.
6. Everything around the screen
Watchlists (shareable with other users), price and fundamental alerts with email digests, a portfolio tracker, side-by-side comparison, saved presets and charts with drawing tools.
Where it falls short
Reviews that list no weaknesses are not reviews. These are the real limits:
- End-of-day and delayed data. ScreenerHero is not a real-time platform. Prices refresh through the day, but if you trade intraday on live quotes, use your broker.
- Not a charting platform. The charts cover the basics and drawing tools. If technical analysis is your main workflow, TradingView is stronger.
- No options data and no earnings transcripts. If you research with either, you will need another tool alongside it.
- Microcap data can be incomplete. European microcaps often report late or thinly. Some rows have missing fields, and a filter on a missing field excludes that company. Check the data notes before trusting a ratio on a very small name.
- The free plan has limits. The free plan caps the number of filters per screen, the number of rows returned, and the size of watchlists, alerts and portfolios. Paid removes those caps.
- Analyst consensus is not the focus. If you screen mainly on analyst estimates, MarketScreener is built around that.
- English only. The interface and content are in English.
