UK Stock Screener
Screen London Stock Exchange stocks by P/E, ROE, margins and yield, from FTSE 100 blue chips to FTSE 250 mid caps and AIM small caps.
About the UK stock market
The London Stock Exchange is one of the deepest equity markets in Europe, and ScreenerHero covers well over 1,300 active LSE instruments, from FTSE 100 blue chips to FTSE 250 mid caps and a long tail of smaller and AIM-quoted companies. The market leans toward banks and insurers, oil and gas, mining, pharmaceuticals and consumer staples, and much of the revenue of its largest companies is earned outside the UK.
What the UK offers equity investors
- Home market of global leaders in energy, mining, pharmaceuticals, banking and consumer staples
- A large share of FTSE 100 revenue comes from overseas, so the index is not a pure bet on the UK economy
- Dividends are central to UK equity culture: many large and mid caps pay regular, covered dividends
- AIM and the smaller-company segments list hundreds of under-researched companies, with ISA eligibility and, for some shares, Inheritance Tax relief for UK holders
- Disclosure under IFRS and the UK Corporate Governance Code makes ratios comparable with continental Europe

Common questions
What exchange code does the UK use in ScreenerHero?
London-listed stocks use the LSE exchange code. It covers FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies and the smaller listed companies, including AIM-quoted names.
Why do UK share prices look 100 times too high?
London shares are quoted in pence (GBp), not pounds. A price of 1,442 means £14.42. Keep this in mind when you compare prices with euro or dollar markets; ratios such as P/E and ROE are unaffected.
Does the UK screener include FTSE 100 stocks such as HSBC, Shell and AstraZeneca?
Yes. Select LSE in the exchange filter and sort by market cap to see the FTSE 100 constituents first, or add a sector filter to browse one industry.
Can I screen UK stocks alongside other markets?
Yes — the ScreenerHero screener lets you select multiple exchanges simultaneously. You can combine LSE with any European, US, or Canadian exchange to run cross-market screens with the same fundamental filters.
